Brando’s is definitely our go-to restaurant in AP whether we are looking for appetizers and drinks, a dinner for two or a group occasion. Even in the off-season (not sure if it applies to Asbury Park) a reservation is highly recommended on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I like the fact that they call you to confirm your reservation – a nice touch. My wife and I decided to go for a nice dinner and had asked for seating in the bar area. Upon arriving we were told that there was no seating available (not sure why) but they changed the place settings on the table in the front window and it was perfect! Dylan. Our server was excellent. After ordering a bottle of St Francis Zin we opted for some old favorites and ordered the Meatball Insalata as a shared appetizer. Two rather large meatballs, one with a bit of sauce (or gravy, if you prefer) and the other with oil and garlic. The addition of a small salad is a great touch. Entrees consisted of Chilean Sea Bass and Pappardelle Toscano. Both were excellent, as expected.
